Mr. Lauer joined Blue Sage Capital in 2026. He previously worked as a Senior Vice President leading business development at Hastings Equity Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm specializing in industrial and infrastructure services.

Prior to Hastings, he worked at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor on the VMT Wealth Management team in Houston, where he focused on new client acquisition while supporting $6 billion in assets under management. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he coached college basketball.

Mr. Lauer received his B.B.A. in Marketing from St. Thomas University and his M.B.A from Sul Ross State University.
