Bo Baskin - Founder and General Partner
Bo has significant operating experience, having founded, financed, operated and served as Chief Executive Officer of Baskin Family Camps (BFC), a multi-site industry leader in the summer camp industry. Prior to BFC, Bo spent a decade in the Investment Banking Departments of Goldman Sachs and First Boston.

Within the camping industry, Bo has served in several leadership positions, including President of C.A.M.P. and as a Board Member of The American Camping Association. Bo also has served as a Board Member of The University of Texas' Harry Ransom Library. Bo graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Davidson College, where he was Student Body President. He received a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford University, where he earned a BA and MA in Economics and Politics. Bo received his MBA from The Yale University School of Management.



Peter Huff - Founder and General Partner
Peter Huff has over ten years of experience in the private equity industry and has been a partner in several private equity funds raised by Austin Ventures and J. H. Whitney. Peter led investments in, and had board responsibilities for, profitable investments in industry-leading companies such as Kana Communications, ICON International, Brooks Sports, Metis and Tallan.

Prior to co-founding Blue Sage, Peter was a partner at Austin Ventures, a large private equity fund based in Austin, Texas. Prior to joining Austin Ventures, he was a managing member at J. H. Whitney, a private equity firm that grew from approximately Blue Sage's size to over $5 billion of assets under management while Peter was with the firm. Before joining Whitney, Peter was a Fulbright Scholar at the National University of Singapore and worked with McKinsey and Company. Peter received his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he graduated first in his class, was President of the Student Center Governing Board and earned First-Team Academic All-American honors in track and field. He earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.



Jim McBride - Founder and General Partner
Jim McBride has spent seventeen years investing in small- and middle-market operating companies in Texas and the Southwest. Prior to co-founding Blue Sage, spent the a decade as the senior non-family executive for The LBJ Holding Company, the private investment holding company of the family of Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson. He initiated the family's entry into private equity investing and has had a leadership role in numerous private equity investments along with a number of operating and real estate investments.

Jim is on the Board of Directors of Caritas of Austin. He received his BBA in finance and his MBA from The University of Texas.


Jack Cardwell - Partner
Jack joined Blue Sage Capital in February 2004. Previously, he was an Associate with Parthenon Capital, a middle-market private equity fund with $1.1 billion under management. While at Parthenon, his primary responsibilities included the evaluation of investment opportunities, transaction execution, and portfolio company management. Jack also worked as a financial analyst at Greenhill & Co., a New York-based investment bank. While at Greenhill, he worked on a number of M&A, restructuring and private equity transactions.

Jack earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas. He also earned a Masters of Professional Accounting from The University of Texas.



Beverly Bendicksen - Director and Special Limited Partner
Beverly joined Blue Sage Capital in September 2003 to manage the New Mexico office. She was previously involved in private equity as a Director with Vestor Partners, L.P. where she was active in the identification, analysis, financing and acquisition of middle market companies. Additionally, Beverly has established and managed technology commercialization and venture development operations for Technology Ventures Corporation, a Lockheed Martin company.

Beverly currently serves on the Board of Directors of Coronado Ventures Forum and is a Director and Treasurer of the Board of the New Mexico Venture Capital Association. She received her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of New Mexico and graduated summa cum laude with an M.B.A. from the Robert O. Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of New Mexico.


Kevin Benoit - Senior Associate
Kevin joined Blue Sage Capital in July 2006.   Previously, he was an Analyst in the Corporate Finance group of Simmons & Company International, a Houston-based energy investment bank.   While at Simmons, Kevin worked on numerous M&A and public/private financing transactions.

 

Kevin graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Business Administration.


Philip Robinson - Associate

Philip joined Blue Sage Capital in July 2007.   Previously, he was an Analyst in the Global Natural Resources Group at Lehman Brothers. While at Lehman, Philip worked on numerous M&A and public/private financing transactions.

 

Philip earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas.
