Blue Sage Capital, an Austin, Texas-based private equity firm focused on investing in small middle-market companies, is pleased to announce the promotions of Jonathan Pearce and Eric Weiner to Partner, Erica Holland to Vice President, and Davis Miller to Senior Associate.

Jonathan Pearce and Eric Weiner promoted to Partner
In this role, Jonathan and Eric will be responsible for firm leadership, sourcing and executing investment opportunities, and subsequent portfolio company monitoring and board leadership.
Jonathan has been with Blue Sage for five years. Previously, he spent four years with Avista Capital Partners, a generalist middle-market private equity firm with $5 billion under management. While at Avista, Jonathan focused on the evaluation and execution of investments primarily in the energy sector. Jonathan is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Masters in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Minor in Finance.
Eric joined Blue Sage five years ago after completing his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Prior to business school, Eric worked for Berkshire Partners, a middle-market private equity firm with over $11 billion under management, specializing in investments primarily in consumer, retail, business services and industrial companies. Eric graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Business Honors Program and a Bachelor of Arts in Government, both with Highest Honors.
Erica Holland promoted to Vice President
In this role, Erica will be responsible for deal-related evaluation, structuring, due diligence and portfolio company monitoring as well as investor relations and portfolio-wide marketing initiatives.
Erica has been with Blue Sage for five years. Previously, she spent two years with J.P. Morgan in the Investment Bank’s Financial Institutions Group in New York City. While at J.P. Morgan, she was involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and other financial advisory engagements in the specialty finance sector. Erica graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Minor in Cultural Anthropology and a Certificate in Markets & Management Studies. While at Duke, she lettered in athletics as a member of the Varsity Cheerleading team.
Davis Miller promoted to Senior Associate
In this role, Davis will be responsible for assisting with evaluating, structuring, due diligence, and financial modeling of investment opportunities.
Davis has been with Blue Sage for four years. Previously, he was an Analyst in the Natural Resources Investment Banking Group at Barclays in Houston, Texas. While at Barclays, Davis advised on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets activities, financings, and other strategic transactions in the oil and gas sector. Davis graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Business Honors Program and a Minor in Accounting.
